LOLC Cambodia Offer Support for Anti-drug Campaign During Kan Ben and Pchum Ben Festival

LOLC (Cambodia) Plc., has presented the National Authority for Combating Drugs with around 30,000 QR Code decals and leaflets. The educational materials will be distributed throughout the Kingdom during the Kan Ben and Pchum Ben festival.

An official presentation ceremony took place on the afternoon of September 23, in the presence of Lieutenant General Lim Tong Huot, Director of the Education and Public Relations Department at the National Authority for Combating Drugs, and Mr. Sok Sophal, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of LOLC (Cambodia) Plc.

Speaking on behalf of Lieutenant General Nak Yuthea, Acting Secretary General of the anti-drug authority, Lim Tong Huot expressed gratitude to LOLC for its ongoing support in raising public awareness of the serious issues related to illegal drugs. The “NoDrug” stickers will be placed on the more than 500 free buses which have been organised by the government to transport people to their homelands during the upcoming holidays. Each decal displays a QR code which will allow the passengers on the vehicles to easily download the anti-drug authority’s NoDrug app which was designed to strengthen and expand public awareness of the effects and dangers of drugs to people in our country, so they will have the knowledge they need to keep themselves, their friends and families away from illegal drugs. In addition, they can use the app to file anonymous reports about drug-related issues to the authorities.

Mr. Sok Sophal, speaking on behalf of LOLC’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Sok Voeun, expressed his appreciation to the National Authority for Combating Drugs for the opportunity to contribute to anti-drug efforts. He emphasized LOLC’s commitment to continuing its support in the fight against drugs, saying, “If our household is drug-free, our village will be drug-free and our community will be safe.”
