These are the activities of clients and villagers who are focusing on financial education awareness training courses on "Debt Management". The attention reflected benefit of lessons so that they can know about their payment capacity before applying the loan and some key messages to avoid over-indebtedness, especially aware them the benefit of selected formal financial institution for support, rather than using informal loans with high interest rates without client protection principle that leading them to have risks in the future. The trainings were held on February 22 and 23, 2024, with 53 total participants including 42 females in 3 villages as mentioned in the following: 1. Khnar Village, Chheu Teal Commune, Banan District, Battambang Province. 2. Enteak Chit Village, Chheu Teal Commune, Banan District, Battambang Province. 3. On February 20 and 21, 2024, 152 participants of LOLC Cambodia’s clients and villagers, including 115 women attended in a financial literacy awareness training course on “Debt Management” which trained by Sustainability Management team of LOC Cambodia. The training was conducted in the following villages: 1. Kampong preah village, Kampong preah commue, Sangkae district, Battambang province. 2. Sras Kaev village, Kampong Preah commune, Sangkae district, Battambang province. 3. Roka village, Roka commune, Sangkae district, Battambang province. 4. Samdach Village, Ta Pon Commune, Sangkae District, Battambang province. 5. Dar Village, Dar Commune, Chetr Borei District, Kratie Provice. 6. These are the activities of the Sustainability Management Team of LOLC Cambodia, provided financial education awareness training to clients and villagers living in rural areas so they can have better understand about “Dept Management”. After attending this training, they could receive some key messages including types of loans which increase expense or increase income, repayment capacity for applying the loans, and the prevention of over-indebtedness. On February 3, 2024, LOLC (Cambodia) Dambae Branch organized a community event in Khnach Chum Primary School, located in Khnach Chum Village, Seda Commune, Dambae District, Tboung Khmum Province. Distributed study materials to students, planted trees, provided books for the library, donated 2 beaches and painted school fences as well in the event. LOLC Cambodia signed an agreement with Ecobatt-Energry Cambodia to collaborate in collecting waste of electrical and electronic equipment
On January 3, 2024, LOLC Cambodia signed an agreement with Ecobatt-Energry Cambodia to collaborate in collecting waste of electrical and electronic equipment that adversely affects the environment and human health, the agreement focuses on two main activities: 1. Collecting battery from staff and clients through battery recycle bin in which is placed at the Operating Office of LOLC (Cambodia). 2. Collecting waste of electrical and electronic equipment (telephones, computers, air conditioners, printers, cameras, batteries, etc.) in contribution to Eco-Batt Energy Cambodia for recycling and waste separation. This collaboration aims to contribute to the protection of the environment, which the LOLC Cambodia always focuses and takes action. "A good environment starts with you, LOLC Cambodia is with you for environmental protection!" -

In 2023, Sustainability Management team of LOLC Cambodia provided Financial Education Awareness Training to communities on the topic “Income and Expense” within its operation branches for 237 trainings, which has 4,218 participants including 3,335 females. These activities have shown the contribution and focus in promoting financial awareness to its clients and communities. At the same time, LOLC Cambodia plans to continue to provide training to clients and the communities next year and will bring good lessons related to financial education as well as environmental awareness. -
