Sustainability Management Team traveled to Mondul Kiri to deliver debt management training to clients
From May 28th to May 31st, 2024, the Sustainability Management Team traveled to Mondul Kiri to deliver debt management training to clients, enhancing their financial literacy and improving their debt management efficiency. Additionally, participants gained insights into environmental and social issues, encouraging them to actively participate in environmental protection and to prioritize education by supporting their children's pursuit of the highest levels of education. The training is not only provided to LOLC clients, but also to the public. As a result, there were a total of 82 participants, including 59 women participants in 7 villages as shown below. 1. From May 14th to 17th, 2024, the LOLC Cambodia Sustainability Management team provided a "Debt Management" training course at the Snoul District Branch in Kratie Province. The training covered key considerations such as loan purposes, repayment capacity, and avoiding multiple loans. Moreover, it also included environmental and social awareness by reducing the use of plastic bags and the importance of education. From April 23rd to 26th, 2024, LOLC Cambodia provided financial education awareness training on 'Debt Management' to remote communities in Mondulkiri Province and Ratanakkiri through the Sustainability Management Team.
This training is designed to improve clients and other participants' awareness, enabling them to use loans in a proper and objective manner. The sustainability management team has persisted in its goal of offering clients and villagers in rural area financial education awareness training on "dept management," with the backing of the management. The major goal of this training is to give participants the necessary knowledge to make wise decisions before taking out a loan and to properly manage their debt to strengthen the family economy and support the growth of the community. On March 12, 2024, 110 people attended this financial education awareness training, including 50 women from some isolated villages. The training consisted of 4 sessions, as follows: 1.
